Windows Live Messenger Skins


Here we go again, skins for Windows Live Messenger are starting to appear, some are good, and some are, well, bad. However I've been searching the web for a while and I've found a decent list. Remember there are not as many skins now as skinning Messenger has become a lot more difficult, nevertheless there is a good selection you can choose from. Enjoy!

okay i got the skin to work but when i try to sign in it says theres a new version of msn live and need to install it to continue but then it just goes to the repair messenger and gets rid of the skin. someone please help

okay nvm got it working, yea vista black, and just normal black skins are pretty awesome ive been searching for msn skins for a while im happyi could find some quality skins. finaly :D

Go to c:/program files/msn messenger (/windows live/messenger if you're running 8.5) and try the exe from there (will be the only file with the Buddy icons)

They probably don't, considering there were some UI changes done to the program for 8.5. I might be wrong though, but if I were you, I'd either not update to 8.5, or wait for the skin authors do release an update to their skins:)

No skin that was made before 8.5 will work on 8.5.

Any skins compatible with Windows Live Messenger 8.5 will be added to the thread. All skins listed are build specific :).

I've downloaded the new 8.5 skin (as above), followed all the instructions, but when I restart WLM nothing seems to have changed.

Have I missed something obvious - does the PC need a restart for
example?

No, you shouldn't even be skinning 9.0, because the only reason you should have it is to find bugs. installing a skin will confuse things.
