I am getting this error message everytime I try to sign into WLM and it's really ticking me off.

I can sign into my account w/the Windows Messenger (the one booted w/XP), and I can sign into my friends account from my computer.
I don't have another computer to sign into WLM w/my main account with, but I will try it as soon as I can.

Has anyone had this error before, and does anyone know how to fix it?

I've even google'd the error code, and found nothing that worked.

EDIT: If I click the trouble shoot, it just tells me there's nothing wrong w/it.

So what I'm getting from that is I need to upgrade to the newest version?

A lot/Most of my scripts/patches/hacks won't work w/the newest one though... however I'm bookmarking that for now. I'll try and see if there's any other way to fix it, but if not I guess I'll need to upgrade.

Just a question though, why does it only affect my one E-Mail account? You'd think that if I had to upgrade then it wouldn't let me log in w/ANY e-mail... and yet my friends email works perfectly fine... any idea why?

EDIT: Do you think I could just re-install my current version? It isn't that old, it's one lower from the current one.

(Only one problem... my emote keep going away everytime I upgrade to a newever version of MSN... Meh, all well. I've got them backed up so all I have to do is restore them. *phew* The sucky part 'bout that is that it'll only stick all your emotes and stuff to that specific MSN account... -_-

I think there needs to be something where you can save all that stuff [emotes, dp's, backgrounds, ect] and make it so you can import them onto another account. )

Um, 8.1 introduced a storage format, which is supposed to convert your old 8.0 data over, but of course may have broken; if you're looking for an explanation why it disappeared when upgrading.

Now I know WHY it disappeared, but do you have any clue on how to get it back? I found an emote stealer, so I have a .zip of all my emotes, but I really don't want to add all 500+ manually...

if i using WinME and my msn msg only update to 7.0
i getting 80004005 msg even i try to update it, it still 7.0 and i can install WLM and Messenger Plus!
