well im guessing that means, either there's no disc in the drive,or you need to set it where to look at correctly, or you're not putting a correct type of disc in...?

Is your drive a DVD drive? This is usually listed by Windows (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM) :P.

ConvertXtoDVD. Excellent Program, Nothing Better than it, takes around 1hour to do a full movie and its barely any quality loss :).

Try using ConvertXtoDVD software, that's what i use and it works pretty fine. Hi all!

Have you tried using a +R or +RW?  Some drives don't like the other kinds.  Mine won't write to +R.

Or maybe, just possibly, it could be because he's using Windows CD Writing Wizard when trying to burn a DVD?

Why would there be quality loss going from an AVI to VOB files?

(Retail) DVDs are much higher quality than the AVIs recorded from them. (Try 4GB vs. 800MB)

Right, i got ConvertXtoDVD, and when it had finished, a box came up asking for a disc even though i have already put a blank disc in..How come?

RE: .Avi by Dr4g0n on 05-28-2007 at 04:51 PM

Correct drive selected? With all the right settings?

Personally I don't use ConvertXtoDVD for burning, only for the conversion.

No, I burnt to an RW just earlier.
