Hello,

a new version of Messenger Plus! is already available! the reason? check out mess.be… following the leak of an internal private beta version of Windows Live Messenger 8.5, the Messenger team decided to release a public beta of their new baby. As I didn’t want to force you to choose between testing a new Messenger and trying to win one of the great prizes of the 6th anniversary contest, I spent the last 2 days working on some quick fixes for the beta.

Messenger Plus! Live 4.22 adds support for Messenger 8.5.0517 and that’s about it; some bugs were fixed too but not that many. In any case, there’s no reason not to download this latest release so except if you’re short on bandwidth for the month, you should update as soon as you can .

a week ago someone asked me for a release of Plus for 8.5 and I said that Patchou wouldn't make one until the official release, and now there is already a compatible Plus very fast and very well done !

Really, is Patchou used to release MsgPlus! versions to make it compatible with BETAs of Messenger before this one?

Now testing WLM 8.5 is fun !

Ahhhh  I got home to find out the plus is released but i cant get the messenger 8.5 download page to load. Anyone know if its just really busy, or if theres a problem?
I've found it on softpedia and filehippo but dont want to end up with the foreign version, i want the official uk one. Can anyone help please, is it ok to get from either of these?

When i use Mess Patch and add buttons to the contact toolbar the Messenger Plus Live buttons disappear but they are still there in the conversation window. Anyone else got this problem?

Messenger.MyDisplayPicture = "" set the 'no picture' picture lol

I had bad problems when I installed it over the previous version having WLM 8.1 (I can't use the 8.5 yet cause I am a MD2 beta tester and it wont work for 8.5 until next build release)... I have the enhancer script and my messenger become crazy... I had to uninstall allllllllllllllllllll (including the MSNShell, new release of MP!L, MD2 and WLM 8.1) and now all works kind of well... so I advice everybody to uninstall the 4.21 before install the 4.22 beta...

I have a question... Where is the bunny??? I can see it in the quick icons...

Great update but when i try and send a sound it just shows the command and name of sound im trying to send, nothing plays.  Only preview mode will work. Anyone having same issues?

Note to anybody having problems in Messenger  with Plus!: make sure you first try with absolutely no patch (this incluess Mess Patch, A Patch and all the others)

MP!L works fine here with the latest A-Patch. To get the Plus! buttons in conversations to show, you must not hide the "Font"-button in the toolbar.
