This is the new logo for the Olympics in 2012. It stinks...




The BBC website has invited people to send in their own logos which can be seen here.

The first one on BBC is quite impressive IMO.

I'm sure you guys can come up with something better than the official one. Maybe share your ideas here...

Yeah... it really does suck, nothing to do with London or even the Olympics really. There have been a lot of much better alternatives created by random people on the internet since they unveiled it.

apparently the flashing/blurring thing in the advert is too frquent and against ofcom regulations, so really its not even allowed on tv! and it sux too

and there's been 8 reports of seizures, and 3 are planning to sue. that'll make em feel stupid, nearly killing people.

the company were given £400,000 for the logo and made that piss-take. makes you wonder what the british are good at

obviously Olympic Marketing Companies aren't good at marketing/creating a logo.

They should have went to College's/Universities and set a nationwide competition tbh. I tihnk alot of stuff like that could be done and they'd save Thousands of £

They could just set the prize as your logo shown everywhere + £1000 + a VIP ticket to everything at the games

Somebody was on the news earlier showing off a logo they'd done which was so much better... There are loads of better designs but they wanted something they could "brand" and a lot of the designs apparantly don't have something prominent enough to be used as a theme...

Not all british people are shit at everything...

epilepsy and autism doesnt mix with adverts.....................

make that 9 people, yesterday i was watching the sky news tv and they only showed a tiny bit of the footage, dispite it beening the latest news and they were saying how bad it was and how its beening setting people off.
and the thing was they didnt give anyone any warning that they were showing this footage even thou it was a tiny bit, it was enough to set me off , i;m still feel ill now from it. at the moment i've got a pair of sunglasses on with all the lights off in the house wiv a sick bowl next to me. and filled up with strong painkillers due to the splittin headache. it doesnt help as well for people who have autism and aspergers syndrome, like me, because they too are very highly sensitive to the bright colours and flashing lights and sound.

It cost £400,000!

I'm shocked, all this research and they created this horrible idea.

Eh that one is lame, the others throughout this thread are a helluva lot better than that!
