Using MSN Messenger 8.1
I have Windows Vista Business
If I am not on my work network then I can login to MSN messenger fine - for instance at home using my DSL connection.
If I am in work then it just won't log in. I can login via webmessenger though.
I used to have Surfcontrol filtering all the network users but that has been removed from the network now so its not filtering.
I know its not the firewall because I have many users on Windows XP able to perfectly access MSN messenger.
So it must be something to do with Vista? Anybody come across this issue before?

Okay I found out the solution. On the SonicWALL there is an option to "Enable support for windows messenger". It was checked.
So UNCHECKED it. And it works. Strange huh?!
