Hey all
Im new to these forums, and I could really use some help from all u experinced ppl in here!
I wanted to install a skin, but when Ive done all I should (Copied, renamed etc.) the damn Live Messenger wont start when I click the icon I click a million times, and nothing happens...
Can any of u help? I could really use it!

Its called Windows Vista Messenger Black (But I've tried a few other themes, and none of them seem to work. Messenger wont start up...)

Go to c:/program files/msn messenger (/windows live/messenger if you're running 8.5) and try the exe from there (will be the only file with the Buddy icons)

Move the msgres.dll file which the skin is located, Un-install WLM (and delete the c:/program files folder) and re-install, try the skin again.

Can you give us your system specs and OS, messnger version and any add-ons for wlm?

I am not quite sure what u mean about system specs . But I know Im using Windows XP, Live Messenger 8.1 178 and Im using Messpatch as well. (I tried uninstalling all, and adding the skin without the messpatch installed, but that didnt work either)

Well I did exactly what it said in the help topic, but hey, im not perfect! I just dont think it's possible that I did something wrong! Maybe I did, but I carefully followed the instructions
Might be Im just a dumbass....

Skins are not that easy to install, follow this guide :
