I have vista home and using a Thomson 585 v6 router my msn is version 8.5 my web cam is a logitech pro 5000 after about 6 to 10 mins it closes my webcam. I have all the updated sofware and drivers have made sure the right ports are open but still to no avail. I have even tried using a different msn version but it still stops my webcam If anyone can help please as a disabled person the computer is my lifeline i dont know too much about computers so any help please step by step instructions

when u say opened the ports did u try and open them on the router or m$'s stupid windows defender thing

The defender i have stopped.When i use my laptop it also cuts out after 6 mins and the o/s is windows xp

any other video things work like skype or something similar?
