New User, Alert Sound Help by Cloud14 on 06-28-2007 at 04:16 AM

Hi, I just downloaded Live Plus and it's working fine but I'm abit confused with adding new sounds to when one of my contacts comes online.

Ok the idea I had would be to have a song play when my girlfriend comes online, so it would wake me up. She's in America at the moment and it's hard to get time to talk to her.

So I go to Event Notifications select the contact and then try to add a song or sound and this is where I get stuck.

None of my WMA files are coming up or anything in my iTunes library. Am I being really retarded or something?

Anyway sorry if this has been asked alot, I did search and didn't find anything and I read the FAQ.

Any help would be appreciated.

PS, Oh I'm on Windows Vista and I have the newest Messenger if that helps.

WMA files are not supported, if you click on the drop down menu "files of type" it shows you which file types can be used with Event Notifications

Ah right and my iTunes songs are MP4's I think, I'm stumped. Is there any way to convert WMA to just simple MP3's?
