It's a good interface, but it's old... I like the new interface of Messenger 8.5 beta because it's similar to Vista Aero (I have it)

8.5 is better than either 8.0(second lot of beta), 8.0 or 8.1, but I think that the first 8.0 beta's interface had a lot of potential if we could have changed the other colours as well. I am a firm believer in customizablity and the end user having a lot of freedom. I must say however I do like 8.5 when it is all nicely patched however....

Yes... I agree that 8.5 looks very good... especially when patched.

I was disappointed at the design when the 8.0 beta was first started, but when it went public and after lots of compaints about the design, it improved in the final release. When the 8.5 beta came to us, the design was still improved, but to me I think it's a little to much. They've added loads of nifty things to the design, and fixed a few glitches, but I'm still stuck in the minimalistic stage. So my favorite design has to be the 7.5 design

Quite a few of them go as far as to say that MSNM 4.x was/were the best versions of the entire series.

I too like 8.5... only when patched though (the advert and all those unnecessary buttons are plain UGLY) ...
