the problem started when I just booted to Linux, and it followed me to Windows. It's really odd and weird, and I don't know what to search for. Maybe the card is overheating? This has never happened before, and also this is the latest driver. I have GeForce FX 5600

i think it is overheating, something like that happend on my geforce too, and that was becuse the fan on the card was broken 
turn of your computer and let it cold down, and see if it is the same on the display when you turn it on again.

gotta agree with bahmak my friend had the same problem
