this all started when i wanted to scan the computer in safe mode. so wht i went to msconfig and clicked on the safe boot thingy. when i restarted the computer the blue screen error came up before windows got to the login screen. so i decided to reinstall windows but since the safe boot thing is enabled it dosent allow me to have the setup.

is there any way to disable the safe boot without going into windows?

You cant install windows because the "safe boot" or boot in safe mode is on..? Don't you usually just boot from the CD..?

yes. u can enable safe mode from startup on windows. After i went through the process of booting from the cd it takes me to the actual setup screen. But when the actual setup screen startsup it tells me i cant do it in safemode

I think I understand. You can get into windows in safemode but you cant format.

Boot straight from the CD. Check your motherboards manual for direction on how to or do a simple google search

but the thing is. i cant go back into normal mode because windows wont get to the login screen..ahh.. i guess im gonna have to reformat it
