Since my laptops screen is dead and now I have like back pain from crouching to the tv to much, (S-VIDEO) Im looking for a cheap pc that will last me like 6 months that can handle games like cs without crashing. I only have about $300-400 and came across this. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Menthix on 07-27-2007 at 06:18 PM I you're only going to use it for 6 months i would go for a second hand one. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Steven on 07-27-2007 at 06:19 PM I dont understand so is it worth it? I will probably use it more... RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Menthix on 07-27-2007 at 06:28 PM
What i meant is if you're searching PC that doesn't have to be high end and must most importantly be cheap, then you're better of most of the time getting a nice second hand one (with higher specs) for an even cheaper price. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Steven on 07-27-2007 at 06:29 PM
quote:Great tdo you think it will handle games like counterstrike without crashing and overheating? RE: Is this pc worth its price? by absorbation on 07-27-2007 at 06:32 PM No, you can get a much better deal than that . I wouldn't get Vista Home Basic either, you're best off getting an XP machine, it's cheaper and your not facing limitations. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Steven on 07-27-2007 at 06:33 PM

lol, try taking it without Vista, that will slice the price in half. RE: RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Verte on 07-28-2007 at 08:51 AM

You could pick up that second hand for at most $100 here. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Steven on 07-28-2007 at 03:14 PM

So does anyone know where I could get a good computer without monitor for cheap? Not refurbished, DVDburner, prefurably 1gb ram. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by vaccination on 07-30-2007 at 05:32 PM build it yourself? RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Steven on 07-30-2007 at 05:52 PM

quote: True RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Phillip on 07-30-2007 at 09:27 PM The cheapest computer will be one you build yourself. Its really not that hard at all and if you need a bit of help you can ad me on MSN. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Steven on 07-30-2007 at 09:46 PM
quote: No just need a good computer that doesnt overheat. And many of you said you can get me a better deal RE: Is this pc worth its price? by lizard.boy on 07-31-2007 at 12:36 AM
quote: I honestly have to disagree. Building a computer yourself is better if you're into that kind of thing or if you are looking for quality. Only once you get into higher end components can you save money building a PC yourself, since OEMs can get larger quantities of low end parts for cheaper prices, and you do benefit from that. quote: Not only that, but the advantages is the fact you`re also going to get little gagdets that you would spend a lot on if you re going to build it yourself (eg : ligthscribe, bluetooth, card reader etc.) RE: RE: Is this pc worth its price? by Phillip on 07-31-2007 at 08:59 AM
quote:err lightscribe burners are like $30 these days card readers and bluetooth are even less. I could go into any computer shop here and build a budget PC for atmost $300 incl burner, Monitor, atleast a 9800pro, generic case, mobo with sata support, sata hdd, atleast a amd 3000+, keyboard and mouse. All these companies like dell just use all generic crap. Its basically the same as all the cheapest shit at a computer store. RE: Is this pc worth its price? by lizard.boy on 07-31-2007 at 09:22 PM
quote: Aye, but cheap Dells (etc) also includes a $200 windows license (I know you can get it cheaper, or pirate it, but I'm making a point.) They also usually comes with tech support and a warranty. Nobody is saying that you can't build a PC on a budget, but for many people in this range buying pre-built is easier and cheaper. |
