i bought an mp3 player elier (samsung YP-K5 2GB) and my computer is not recognising the device. i tried reinstalling the software but it hasnt helpd. i took a screenshot of what sometimes comes up when i connect it up http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/488/errorcm8.png. any help to fix this would be great as i am out of ideas

What you have to do is update to the latest firmware. Reading about it, the latest firmware is only on the Tiawan and/or Korean Samsung website.
Samsung YP-K5 Firmware
Click the firmware appropriate to your operating system, download and install. Hopefully everything will be fixed then.
