nothing no one is using the internet.. the connection is idle but WAN is blinking and sucking up my bandwidth edit: hmm, i checked the statistics page and it seems to be receiving packets much more than sending them RE: D-Link router problem... by WDZ on 09-23-2007 at 07:11 PM
It's probably just "internet background radiation" - unsolicited packets arriving at your network. RE: D-Link router problem... by roflmao456 on 09-23-2007 at 07:13 PM it drops my connection sometimes RE: D-Link router problem... by kao on 09-23-2007 at 08:17 PM How do you know that is to blame? There will always be activity. You might just have a crap line =p RE: D-Link router problem... by roflmao456 on 09-23-2007 at 08:46 PM
quote:it doesn't do much activity when it's directly connected (pc to modem) plus no disconnection RE: D-Link router problem... by toddy on 09-23-2007 at 08:49 PM
quote:is your router set to disconnect/drop at a certain ammount of inactivity RE: D-Link router problem... by roflmao456 on 09-23-2007 at 09:13 PM

quote:Is it really sucking up bandwidth? If the modem gets a few packets of activity, that would have a negligible effect on your bandwidth but still make the modem flash. RE: D-Link router problem... by YottabyteWizard on 09-26-2007 at 07:15 AM It might be the encryption... sometimes the connections acts a little bit weird with some encriptions. Disable for some moments the encription and browse and see how it goes.... RE: D-Link router problem... by Discrate on 09-26-2007 at 08:12 AM D-link products are shit. I tried to give mine away, but no one would take it. RE: D-Link router problem... by ddunk on 09-26-2007 at 08:22 AM

quote: It did actually. What i meant by that statement was that D-link products are crap and are always having problems and i think you should get rid of the junk instead of trying to fix it. My d-link router had a problem i even sent it back to them to fix it. They could not even fix it. RE: RE: RE: D-Link router problem... by Jarrod on 09-26-2007 at 12:11 PM
