Is there some peopl directory thing that goes with MSN/Windows Live, and how can I include myself? The end of school is here so I want people to be able to search for me...

Hmm yeah it kind of does answer me and tell me that there isn't a directory anymore. I guess my friends will have to use Google, or even ask other people!

Use Live Spaces, if you have a Live ID you already have a Space all you need to do is customize it (nobody forces you to use the blog option 
). You can set permissions to "Anyone on the Internet" (even google search will find your space that way..try it, search for "sunshinesweb" you'll find my space "Sunshine's Experimental Space").
Goes really well with what albert suggested, the messenger buttons, afterall you do need somewhere to place that button
