want a CMS package that has moderators rather then admins ? basically i'm trying to make 3 slightly different sites(likely to rise to 15/20+), but have them all use the same database. so that i could be super-admin over all 3 sites, but then have admin/moderators that could only look after the separate articles/custom pages/pics that are to do with their club. Couldn't you just set multiple instances of the same cms up and give each team the admin user of each one. And then maybe make another than contains nothing but links to the other three systems. RE: CMS package by toddy on 10-22-2007 at 06:50 PM
quote:no, then they'd running off different databases (and i don't want different databases to look after). quote:cheers RE: RE: CMS package by win_crook on 10-22-2007 at 06:54 PM
quote: When you are installing most cms systems, they will allow you to put a table prefix in... this allows you to run multiple cms systems in the same databse. For example you give each team a prefix. Then when the system comes to creating tables it will put the prefix in front of all the table names. Doing this makes sure that none of the tables are overwritten by the other versions of the same cms. Yet, I have to admit it can be a bit of a pain maintaining all the tables. So yeah you probably are better off looking for a system that comes with the features you need built in. RE: CMS package by toddy on 10-25-2007 at 09:03 PM why is it so hard to find what i want doesn't help that the search on that site doesn't work any more RE: CMS package by win_crook on 10-25-2007 at 09:06 PM

RE: CMS package by win_crook on 10-25-2007 at 09:39 PM Well sorry I couldn't be any more help, but good luck with getting midgard set up.
