hey!!
could u please tell me if i can find my old chat logs on net?
i formated my pc and i lost all my logs
very stupid of me but i didn t have a back up of them and it is an emergency to find them...
so the question is if there is some kind of database where chat logs are saved....
i would really appreciate it if you could help me 
looking forward for an answer...

A quick format merely 'deletes' all files. By this, it empties the File Allocation Table, so while the files still exist, there's nothing to say what they are or where. However, some data recovery software can piece together files whose FAT entries have been lost or corrupted.
A full format zeroes all data on the disk, destroying everything.

As RaceProUK suggested before, the only way is to try and use file recovery tools like undelete, etc.
There might be a chance that the contents can still be recovered from your hard disk. But note that this is just a chance, it is never garantueed to work. And the chances of recovery decrease rapidly the longer you wait and do other stuff on your PC (like browsing the web).
