Hi ive been using Windows Live Messenger for months and have been unable to sign in for the previous 2 days. This is the error code i am getting:
Error code 80072745
i troubleshoot the error but nothing happens. I have tried signing in on other accounts not just my own, and the same error message appears. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and still same problem. Need some help so will appeciate any help. Thanks

Try this:
Exit MSN Messenger:

Sign-out of MSN Messenger.
*
If you see the MSN Messenger icon in the System tray, right click on it and click Exit.
Clear the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) state and AutoComplete history. To do this, follow these steps:

Open an IE window
*
Click Tools – Internet Options and the Content tab.
*
Under Certificates, click Clear SSL State.
*
Click OK when you receive the message that the SSL cache was successfully cleared.
Reregister DLL files that are associated with Cryptographic Services . To register .dll files that are associated with Cryptographic Services, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run and type:
"regsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll"
Kudos to the folks on the newsgroups for figuring out the first workarounds for this problem!
