Remapping keyboard keys by MeEtc on 11-17-2007 at 12:50 AM

I have a new keyboard with this computer, and it has a few added keys like my previous one. I had used TweakUI to change the keys on my old KB, but they don't want to change on this one. I have volume up/down/mute keys that i would like to remap to other things, like launching Winamp and a web browser window.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try another software ?

Maybe there's also a way without any additional software. When my keyboard broke and the start menu opened and closed automatically always, I made out that the windows key was broken, and using the method described in the attachment, I could reallocate the key to another key, allowing me to continue using the windows key, and stopping the annoying start menu flashing :)

/edit: It is actually the same way as described in the lat post, 3rd link.
