hi my msn live version is v8.5.1302.1018
my frenz say im sending them stuff,,,
at times my conversation windows disappear and outlines of duplicate conversation windows keep on popping out,,,
so this is all i noe n nw tell mi which virus is this?????
hw m i suppose to eliminate this virus!!!!

Seems like a perfect time to post this. Please sticky it if possible as it is the fourth time I have had to post it.
Viruses are always on the loose! Weather its from files you downloaded from a site or your friends sent it to you via messenger, it's a big problem.
There are a few things you can do such as always confirm that your contact sent it to you and it wasn't an automated message. Also make sure you have a good anti-virus that's always updated.
Here are some free anti-viruses that you can download (in no particular order).
Please note you should only have one resident anti-virus program
Or try either of these free online scanners
- Trend Micro House Call <--- I recommend House-call
- Microsoft Online Safety Scanner
- Yahoo Security Centre
- F-Secure online scanner
- McAffee free tools
- You can also try Anti-Spyware programs like
- AVG Anti-Spyware
- Ad-Aware
- Windows Defender
Remember the best virus defence is common sense and always check with your contact!
Search the forums!
Do you have an anti-virus scanner? If not download a full program from the first list. If you do have an anti-virus update then run it or use from the second list.
A combination of 2 programs from the third list and 1 from the top list should be sufficient to remove the virus and protect the computer in the future.
