It's the same as when you colour anything with plus!

or if you want a gradient:

That is already colorful, a light blue color by default :P

Well, I wanted to remind you there is a registry setting which you can change that default blue color to any color you want. But this method will change the color locally, so your contacts won't see the modified color on their sides, but you will see their auto-messages in the color you have set via registry as well.
