Here's what I've been working on at University since I started. RE: YAY New Animations by Discrate on 12-08-2007 at 08:23 AM wow nice work! I liked the last bit with the dog RE: YAY New Animations by NanaFreak on 12-08-2007 at 08:24 AM hot ;o RE: YAY New Animations by aNILEator on 12-08-2007 at 08:28 AM
quote: I filmed the dog one weeks ago.... and it's not last RE: YAY New Animations by vikke on 12-08-2007 at 08:30 AM Well done, pretty entertaining. You seem to have put a lot of work on this. RE: YAY New Animations by CookieRevised on 12-08-2007 at 08:31 AM
Wow, you did all those? Awesome indeed.... RE: YAY New Animations by aNILEator on 12-08-2007 at 08:41 AM
You be the judge, I disabled frame blending too, so it's per frame, shouldn't be any blurring/much present I don't think. So in essence whatever is there, is whatever I filmed, rather than some smoothing by video editor RE: YAY New Animations by vaccination on 12-08-2007 at 08:57 AM
quote:I agree, I thought the quality was a lot better, and I thought it was good before. Well Done RE: YAY New Animations by aNILEator on 12-08-2007 at 09:00 AM
AM50029-1 Animation Principles Stop Motion Exercises List. Now you can check them off as the video progresses RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by Eddie on 12-08-2007 at 01:01 PM Lol thats cool, nice job, you sure put a lot of effort into these. RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by freak544 on 12-08-2007 at 01:02 PM Nice animations it must off took ages to do it RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by prashker on 12-08-2007 at 02:51 PM wow. that's really good RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by aNILEator on 12-08-2007 at 07:33 PM
quote:Yeah I did there's a few I'm not exactly happy with but they'll do It's hard to judge effort v quality though, because members of my class put a lot of effort in (whereas I put effort in but I know how it works/works in theory and can imagine how many frames I'll need to do what I want), but their animations aren't as good quality as mine Not meaning to sound big headed/hurtful at all with that statement, someone's laugh is way better than mine for example, but most people seemed to fail to grasp 24 Frames Per Second = 24 photos are needed, some worked on 2's {doubling up frames} but then some people also kept changing the playback speed too, which although slows down/speeds up the animation to look better whilst playing, doesn't help the actual taken photos look any better when exporting (does anyone understand me ?) I can see that they've improved as time went on however so maybe once they've grasped editing they'll have it looking good. I have still have lots to do, will be a big struggle for me to finish it. RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by albert on 12-08-2007 at 07:37 PM Pretty cool, I remember doing a short one in high school, takes a lot of damn patience. =) RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by Patchou on 12-08-2007 at 07:46 PM nice, some people on this forum have talent! RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by Tasha on 12-08-2007 at 07:56 PM I LOVED the water droplet. thanks RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by kezz on 12-09-2007 at 12:53 AM Watching that, memories of watching some kids shows using that technique and wondering "how on earth do they do that?". Pro stuff, keep it up RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by aNILEator on 12-09-2007 at 03:36 AM
quote: It's such a brilliant medium to work in. Ever since I first saw Wallace and Gromit I wanted to do it. It truly can create a magical feel and leave you asking questions as you yourself said. I think it's a real shame there's more and more CG animated TV Shows pushed to kids these day, the magic is out of it because everyone knows it's not real and anything and everything can be done with it these days. Sure I've enjoyed and respected a few, the more creative ones usually (I have no problem with CG Films). But in general I don't care much for CG or anime TV shows for kids. I think you/kids can't relate to it which makes a big difference. People can, will and do go on forever about old cartoons and can relate to others with them too, I've met people in their adulthood who still wondered how clangers was made! I'll make an example using "Button Moon" a very cheap puppet production where most of the characters and models were made from Kitchen Utensils Mr. Spoon being the main character, had a rocketship clearly made from a Heinz baked Beans tin simple stuff that most kids could relate too, not that I'm saying kids shows needs to be cheap and made with bean tins but it was very popular at the time (and I've seen some Button moon T-shirts about too). There are timeless classics like Bagpuss and Old Bear Stories that used toys as their characters, something all kids of all ages have and love. I found a good list of old and new stop-motion animations on Toonhound.com Stop-motion series THE ADVENTURES OF PARSLEY ANDY PANDY (Cosgrove Hall) ASTRO FARM BAGPUSS BERTHA BILL AND BEN (Cosgrove Hall) BOB THE BUILDER BOB THE BUILDER: PROJECT:BUILD IT BRAMBLY HEDGE BROOMSTICK COTTAGE CAMBERWICK GREEN CHARLIE CHALK CHIGLEY CHORLTON AND THE WHEELIES THE CLANGERS COCKLESHELL BAY CREEPY CRAWLIES DOCTOR OTTER EDWARD AND FRIENDS EL NOMBRE ENGIE BENJY FIFI AND THE FLOWERTOTS FIREMAN SAM THE FLUMPS THE GINGERBREAD MAN GOGS! quote: yeah, i was wondering that i couldn't see any thunderbirds style strings RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by aNILEator on 12-10-2007 at 06:12 PM Gumby is an American thing, all the list i gave are from British animation studios I think (and I just copy pasted it from toonhound anyway ) I'll post the 20 second animation online when I get home RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by vaccination on 12-10-2007 at 06:54 PM
quote:Because thunderbirds wasn't made with plasticine type stuff? I imagine you'd just use a string or some sort of stand to hold it in place RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by aNILEator on 12-11-2007 at 07:31 AM
we used a fishing wire attached to a bar with some pins, overhead of the set then we could adjust the pins to adjust height and position, to simulate in the air stuff RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by kezz on 12-11-2007 at 09:20 AM
Wow! Brilliant. Hope you get top marks for that, really quality stuff. RE: YAY 50 New Stop Motion Animations by me by aNILEator on 12-11-2007 at 12:16 PM
