Just wondering if there was a way to fix this. In one of my contact's display names there is a character, which is supposed to appear as a reversed S (tried to post it but it won't show up here). It shows up OK on their computer, on the contact list and in a convo. However, for me...it appears OK in a convo (*person* says), but at the top of the convo and in the contact list it just appears as a square/box...any idea why this is? Obviously not a major thing, but if it can be sorted would be good.   Thanks!

Forgot to mention, I'm using WLM 8.5, and Windows XP MCE, if that's any help.

Because the contact window uses a certain font (say X) and your contact uses a certain font (say Y)
Since its in the chat window, the font Y shows the character because it has this character in question.
The font that the WLM window uses (font X) doesn't have this character and hence you see a black box

Hope this helps. I'm not 100% sure but this is most likely the answer. This is what happens in most such cases
