Well you guys... many of you have seen my work cloning WLM 8.0/8.1 in Old School Messenger... but just a few of you have been able to see my real designs... well now is time to show you a few screenshot of what is already in development...

My new skin will be called Web 2.0 Messenger... a tribute to the new face of the web... and its amazing technologies... RSS, CSS, XML, Ajax, Blogs, CMS, Prosumers, etc are a few of the words coming to my mind when I talk about Web 2.0... and based in this design...



This project will be brought to you by me and one amazing venezuelan company called Pixel Studios... Hope you enjoy it...

Be sure this thread will be updated as soon as I get new screenshots for you !!! There are A LOTTTTTTT of work to do with this skin idea

Note: the only defect this skin is gonna have... is that the size will be fixed... cause the graphic design ...

Sorry, but I don't like it. You're using way too much white-space, and all these lines are just unnecessary. Try doing it a bit more compact.
And I'm just curious, what would happen if you resize the window?

It's interesting, but I don't like it, sorry.

It looks nice, well done. I like how you did with the DP in the middle. But it doesn't fit for a Messenger skin, if you need to have a fixed size. It also gets very confusing where to click etc.

don't worry dude... future is coming and at first blogs were accepted but now.......

and trust me... you will know where to click with get finished... this is a skin for advanced users...

Very cool concept.... but i would never use it. But i would defintly check it out. Could shape up to be very very good.... but the concept although cool... wont work well IMO

The login screen looks too complicated and i dint like the round display pictures.So overall it looks  an "ok" skin not a great one though but i'm hoping it'll look good once its complete .

There nothing wrong with this skin. I like it alot. the design looks very professional and it looks like alot of hard work went into this.

Concept sounds good, application isn't so good. That's my opininon anyway.

I don't associate those diagrams or illustrations with "web2" generation websites.

that is NO WHERE near web2.0

i think you need to look at a few tutorials for web2.0 websites so you get an idea for how web2.0 works

Oh and the login is really cool but defo not web 2.0

Secondly the chat box's don't go with the rest of the design imo

The idea is cool... but the skin is not good to use, specially in small ecrans ;p

I thought the logon looked more like something from Portal

Look at more designs for popular 'web2' sites I still think the expression is flung around everywhere these days but most of the popular sites dubbed as web2 are simple to navigate and have simple buttons and layout. Not blueprint diagrams.

Although I do like the concept you've done on the log on window I think the options etc are all far too spaced out and doesn't lend itself to a 'web2' style.

I think that idea could be developed further into say for example a circuitry skin, where everything is linked together as if it was a circuit diagram or blueprint, if really thought about it could be very geeky cool Like opening a group in contact list looks like it turns on a switch in a parallel circuit or something

That is a very Nice Skin and what makes it pretty good is JUst its simple Very Nice Idea, I would like To Advice that it can be much better if you would also put an option of The White Skinned Version Of The stock wlm skin. But Not That Bright It should have the effect that it has which seperates the colour but It will be awesome if it wont be bright.
Keep It Up And If I were you. I would just let a first version for release to let people comment and let you know what you need to do
