So what could be causing this do you think? All I did was remove some Max buttons I'd made because they stopped WLM from showing :s

your problem is in 947, by the looks of it its not liking something in your defintions.

Btw don't use notepad, because if you do stuff something up then its hard to go back since notepad has one level of undo :P

RE: [?] Black skin! by warmth on 12-23-2007 at 02:48 AM

use notepad++... I think that your problem is with a element in stylesheet 947.... maybe 652...

im getting used to these, on the second to last line notice the number 13 at the end, best i understand it is thats the line number where you can find the code that doesnt work, i use notepad++ which shows line numbers so skin trace does help me find the broken code faster.

The Trace File is in fact very simple to understand.

quote:
07/12/22 22:12:51| DUIParserFailure: parse error 'Element' 13
It seems like there was something wrong with an 'Element' tag or style declaration. Maybe you have mismatched capitalizations, like <Element>...</element>? The '13' is the line number where this error occurred on. Therefore, try to find which UIFILE caused this.
quote:
07/12/22 22:12:51| Last definition file loaded: 947
07/12/22 22:12:51| Last style sheet file loaded: 923
Because these were the last files loaded by Messenger before the error occurred, it has to be one of these two. Go and look at them! ;)

Note: Everything about the Trace File is explained in the skinning documentation under Skinning Essentials! :P

that was what I told in other words :P (or maybe better explained)

Hmmm, maybe it should say "Line: 13"?

Something strange I've noticed, is that non native English speakers seem to get confused over which tense or term of 'advice' to use, just something odd I noticed. Carry on as usual :P
