I did this a few years ago, but now since many of us got a new computer (including me ), I think that it's time we have a new one.
To benchmark your computer download Passmark PerfomanceTest v6.1, install it, and then go to Tests -> Run all tests
If possible, when you post your results, upload your baseline file too (File -> Save as Baseline...) so that we can compare your results to our results. In the end, we can also compare all the baselines posted here to see who has the best (or worse) computer.
So, I'll start by posting the overall rating of the best computer in my house:
For detailed results look here: http://mike.thedt.net/temp/PerformanceTest.zip
Inside the zip you will find a detailed picture of the results, a detailed .txt file of the results, a detailed .html file of the results and my baseline file (Deutero.pt) so that you can compare your results to mine.
Some tips for better results:
1) Restart your computer before benchmarking.
2) After running all tests, run some tests manually: Complex 3D and all the memory tests. You will usually get better results.
Note: If this belongs to T&T then please move it.

Well, if you got a new comp, it'd be nice to post your specifications, uh?
I'm installing the program.
I still don't have a good video card (I'm using and Intel onboard).
I intend to buy one soon.
I have:
Intel Core2Quad Q6600
2GB RAM (shared with video)
250GB HDD

The computer isn't actually new (I got it in February).
You can find specs inside this zip: http://mike.thedt.net/temp/PerformanceTest.zip

Can't say I'm impressed, but this is my lappy.
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5 GHz
1 GB RAM
Intel 965 Express Graphics
No idea what kind of HD this lappy has, but from Toshiba.
I got this lappy a couple weeks ago, so it's quite new. (Vista sucks XD, horribly)

I'd reckon that your graphics are integrated, and the other 64MB is being used as shared RAM. You're also probably missing the first 640K due to BIOS limitations, or whatever.

It says it's a partial test because I didn't want to test my DVD Burner. So screw that
Core2Quad Q6600
4GB DDR2 PC-8500
Vista x64
GeForce 8800GT EVGA
1.5TB HD
