anyone else tried the new beta? i didnt actually find the actual full version as such, i found a Portable Apps version on www.portableapps.com. if you have used it what do u thing of it?

While I'm not using Firefox 3 beta 2, I'm using the latest trunk build which shares many of the features.


Things I love (note these images are from a trunk build, so they may not look the same in the firefox 3 branch)

- Awesomebar:


- One click bookmarking:

(click the star, and the site is bookmarked into unfiled bookmarks and click again to show the options for it)

- Places:

The new tagging feature is also very cool, when combined with awesome bar, if you type a tag name into the location bar then it will show all bookmarks with that tag

- Resuming downloads rocks too

- Real full page zooming, instead of just increasing text size

- The remember this password dialog isn't a model dialog anymore, so you can now see if the password is correct before telling the browser to remember it

there's tones of other features which i love but I doubt many people here would care about them like FUEL (a highly sexy api ;o)
