7.1 Speaker Systems (Give me some). by prashker on 01-27-2008 at 05:00 AM

What are the best 7.1 Speaker Systems around?

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=12846&...re=Creative%20Labs
Creative Inspire P7800 7.1 Speakers System 90W RMS Black

If I was buying from NCIX I'd get that because it's the only one they have.

Anything else, please recommend (and tell me they ship to Canada :p).

So basically.

Tell me other good 7.1 Speaker Systems :p.

THAAANKZ!!

edit: This is for my PC, Motherboard (680i) has built in 7.1 Speaker thing.

Is there such a big difference in sound quality?

RE: 7.1 Speaker Systems (Give me some). by Nathan on 01-27-2008 at 11:04 AM

THe quality is always better if you go from the computer to an external amp, and then to the speakers. Because the amp has a proccessing unit for the sound quality etc.

None, just enhances the surround experience on media that supports it.

I have creative 7.1 speakers T7900 I think :S all creative systems have a badly designed (circuitry) remote control which'll crackle and effect volume (fluctations) after some months, since I moved though it's not done it, but I have taken it apart and re-soldered and cleaned the circuit up, But the are great speakers, I love them to pieces, just a shame that there are no wireless solutions available, that aren't battery bastards. because the wires are the most sucky thing of an system :(

If it's for games, 'downgrade' to XP for your own sake

I have no problem playing games on Vista :p. I play Call of Duty 4 all the time.

As for the T7900. Seems to be Creative Europe Only. Only advantage to the P7800 is the Tweeters. Which I don't need :p. Well, it would be good to have em, but my current ones don't :p
