I want to make a backup of my copy of Windows XP Pro. What is the best program to do it with? RE: backing up CD's by Spunky on 01-27-2008 at 08:14 PM Not sure it's 100% legal to copy them (Windows Discs) even for backups. You'll do it anyway sowhy not just try CloneCD instead of asking? no. your way better off copying all the files off the cd on to your hard disc the using windows cd writing wizard.. RE: backing up CD's by ShawnZ on 01-27-2008 at 09:02 PM
quote: uh, no it isn't? any program that makes an image of a CD will handle boot sectors (e.g. imgburn, which is free) RE: backing up CD's by Jarrod on 01-27-2008 at 11:52 PM my version of nero doesn't do boot sectors RE: backing up CD's by MeEtc on 01-28-2008 at 12:23 AM I use a program called ISOPuzzle to make cd backups. its meant to be a data recovery program, but it works to make plain ISO's too RE: backing up CD's by YourNeibour on 01-28-2008 at 01:46 AM thanks alot for the advice i really appreciate it RE: backing up CD's by andrewdodd13 on 01-29-2008 at 09:04 AM Rip it to an ISO with Isobuster, and then burn it back with Nero, or whatever.
