I am running a cracked version of 7.5 on my computer as i prefer it over live.

The only difference in my msn over the regular 7.5 is the version info has been adjusted to reflect 8.x (live).  This way it does not force me to download msn live and i can continue functioning as i always have.


I have install msg plus 3.63.148 but as expected it does not recognize my msn 7.5 as it thinks it is 8.x as well.  Is there anyway around this?

Close MSN Messenger
Right click on the MSN Mesenger icon, go to Properties
Go to compatibility
Then deselect "Run this program in compatibility mode for..", select Windows 2000, then hit apply.
Run MSN Messenger and it should sign-in fine.

and then just redownload the Messenger Plus and also if it does not load try goin to C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3 and click on the MsgPlus.exe

that all might work if u hate the whole wlm 8

can also try amsn and other ones out there to

running msn in windows 2000 mode did not operate properly on my xp pro computer.  sending a file crashed msn, recieving a file crashed, graphics were old school.

You will find a file named MsgPlusH.dll in the attachment of the first post of the thread above. You must download and replace it with the file in Messenger Plus! 3's installation folder. But make sure your Messenger is completely closed while performing pasting operation.

But at this time, the version number which reflects in your Messenger's About... window may be important. If the above  soluion doesn't work, then download the second msnmsgr.zip file from the attachment of that post and replace it with the file in Messenger's installation folder. This should solve the problem.
