Hi how di i fine out the make of my motherboard. I have never updated my motherboard. can someone tell me do u have to updated it and if so how and where. ty

Download CPU-Z to find out your motherboard make and bios version.

http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Then google for updates :p

hi i downloaded that and it told me every think apart from my motherboard make but it told me the modle number........what should i do

Google it. Then it will tell you the main model.

If you want to buy a new motherboard, then it's likely that you will need new processor/ram and maybe even other components to go with it. It's not a good idea to replace the motherboard of a computer.

If you want to update the bios software on your current motherboard, it's still not a very good idea. The updated bios will probably do nothing to make your computer work better. Updating the bios is also a risky process, if there is a mistake the motherboard can be ruined. You should only update the bios if you need to update it for a specific reason.
