XP - activation - ???? by deano747 on 02-13-2008 at 05:12 PM

Last year i bought  a Dell latitude ls refurbished  with XP for £40. when it comes to the log in screen it says " This is not a genuine windows" , i got one of my m8s to get rid of it by useing some sort of crack, and it went. 'However  it has come back. it is realy annoying.

Is ther any way of geting it gone again??

Enter the serial code located on a sticker on the back of the PC.

Either install Windows NT using the serial key, or buy a legal copy of Windows XP. Your only other options are illegal and should not be discussed here.

If you bought it directly from Dell, you should contact Dell's support. (Have fun talking to people in india).  If not, you should contact the people you bought it from.

If the sticker is for Windows NT, then you're probably out of luck though.

Microsoft has put out some great educational material on the Genuine Microsoft Software website.  Please be sure to report the seller to the Microsoft Piracy Team.  You may also receive a genuine copy of Windows XP for free.

search on google on how to remove it :P

(alternative:
end process "WgaTray.exe"
in a half-second, quickly delete wgatray.exe (and if you could, the dll too) from \WINDOWS\system32)
