When you copy your name from either Tools>Options or just simply clicking your name (thanks to the help of StuffPlug), if you copy your name and paste it the emoticons don't paste with it.

How is this an MP!L bug? As far as I can remember, emoticons have never been able to be copied, even from the chat window

Emoticon codes are copied only in the chat window text areas, that's how the new feature works 
. I'll see about extending it to other areas like the ones you mention.
