Multiple accounts, One messenger by Ph0X on 03-25-2008 at 11:34 PM

I know i know, you can have two messengers running with two accounts. But is there anyway of having two accounts in one messenger? Something like Pidgin or Trillian or whatever.

If not, it would be a very good addition. I personally like having two accounts running, but having two messengers running is really annoying. It's the only thing that still pushes me to pidgin :x

Thank for help

No, unless someone figures out how to tab contact lists :p

Doesn't need to be tabbed. Could be all in one same thing.
Pidgin mixes it all together.

There's two reason why i want this. Mainly because i want to setup a new email, but i don't want to go through the pain of getting all my friends to the other side. Also, since this email is gonna be a more "prefessional" email, for more serious business, i don't want to have random people on it either.

I guess two messenger would do it, but with the memory usage msn has... :x

That's even less possible

If you have a non-MS email (thus not something like @hotmail, @msn, etc), you can simply change your Windows Live ID (that is what your WLM mail is) to another. No need to bother anyone...

See
CookieRevised's reply to How do you export contacts AND preserve groups?

To find stuff like that search the online help sections (In Windows Live Messenger choose  Help > Help-topics). They contain a ton of information. Unfortunatly not many people actually use it...

That wont change when you would be able to run 2 messengers as one.
