Xbox Live Help by Eddie on 04-06-2008 at 12:26 AM

Alright, last night i spent many hours trying to get it work so that Xbox Live and my PC would be connected at the same time, unfortunately this didn't quite come off as planned, so i need to know if you guys know a solution to this:

My computer is on a network, i have to internet ports in the back of my computer, currently i have my internet connection going into the port that came with the computer as they do with all computers, and i want so that in the second port i can have Xbox Live connected as well, anyone know of a way? *-)

I think what you're saying, is that you have 2 ethernet ports on the back of your computer. One is in use to connect to your home network, and you want the second to plug into your XBox.

This is quite easy to do, but you'll need the computer on to be able to connect the XBox to the internet.

(assuming Windows XP)
Open Control Panel -> Network Connections. Highlight both connections. Right click, and select Bridge Connections

That should be all that needs to be done.

Yes that is what i was trying to get to work for quite a while, but it kept disconnecting from the internet, after the bridge was enabled it would change specifically to a local network and not have internet access at all :S

BTW: Windows Vista Ultimate

EDIT: Randomly today it appears to work, issue resolved, ty.
