Now that's karma! by x2zen on 05-04-2008 at 08:29 AM
This is surreal....
As some of you may know, I work part-time in a supermarket called Fakta. It's a chain of stores, approx. 350 stores in Denmark.
Last week a Fakta in a city near me called my store and asked if I was free to work at their store this weekend due to an employee was fired and they haven't found a replacement yet, I said yes, but a couple of days later they called and said they didn't need my help afterall since they have found a replacement who could cover those shifts.
This morning I turned on the TV to watch the morning news. That store was robbed yesterday by two men with guns! I could have been at work in that store!
Believe me, I feel sorry for those who were at work yesterday and for the customers aswell, but seriously... I'm glad they did found someone else to cover those shifts.
Edit:
The gunmen escaped with 11000 DKK (2278 USD) in cash and began a car chase with the police who eventually drove into the side of the robbers' car with resulted in both of the cars to crash down into a ditch where the robbers were arrested.

maybe Fakta planned the robbery so that they could claim it on insurance, and because your such a valued worker they decided the wouldnt risk your life...

not really karma is it, unless you think them not hiring you the weekend deserves them to be robbed to balance things out
But indeed pretty 'funny' story good job you weren't hired

Nile:
I consider karma as: "What you give is what you get returned", meaning if I do good things, good things will happen to me.
I do good things daily, I love to help other people and my reward this time around was that I didn't have to go trough a nasty situation like being robbed by a guy with a gun.

I hope Th3rmal is kidding, if not, he is a fucking idiot. Especially because it was a German citizen who rubbed it.
