Google problem by Basilis on 05-17-2008 at 05:08 PM

Well, Google seems to have passed out. I can't search. I write what I want to search and then I click the Search button but it can be like 4 hours and no  results. Anyone having the same problem with me or knowing why is this happening? It is really annoying to be unable to search, especially when it is exams period. Hope someone knows what is happening.

what browser are you using?

RE: Google problem by Basilis on 05-17-2008 at 08:30 PM

Firefox. For example, before I post my previous post on this thread, I had already started a search and still no results. Another time, I had let it for 3 hours and no results either.

RE: Google problem by NiteMare on 05-17-2008 at 08:32 PM

might seem simple, but reboot your computer?

(I've never used Fx to google search!)
Try using another browser... If it works, then it is a Fx problem...

I'm not saying don't look for a solution, just that if, as you say, you need it for exams and urgent issues, you can use a different search engine until your problem is solved.

Common sense being the key ingredient here...
RE: Google problem by Basilis on 05-17-2008 at 09:08 PM

Not really for exams. It is just annoying. I cannot think of any solution so... Thanks.

RE: Google problem by NiteMare on 05-17-2008 at 09:12 PM

have you tried a different browser?

RE: Google problem by Basilis on 05-17-2008 at 09:15 PM

RE: Google problem by Matt-in on 05-17-2008 at 10:44 PM

I believe There are a couple of ways to prevent this annoying error.
First Try It Off On Another Browser,
- If It Works, Try Resetting your IE's setting through Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Reset Ie Settings
- If it doesn't work,
a) Reset Your Modem Either Router ( If Still Doesnt Work )

b) Call Your Internet Provider and tell about your problem and they will let you wait for a couple of mins to check if there is any errors with The Links Of Google on your Internet.

c) If They Will say there is no problem bla bla... Try Resetting all of your  Temporary Internet Files and cache and cookies and try again. And Dont forget to check your system for a spyware scan as well if things have came to this point. ( If Still Doesnt work )

d) You Can Have Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Element Browser, Apple Safari and various Internet Browsers.

I Hope I have been a little helpful and direct you to the right solution.

Good Luck,
Matt-in

Alright Then Uninstall and Reinstall Your IE And Make sure you are getting the latest one from Microsoft's Site. And Before reinstalling IE Make sure if everything works on IE6 properly And Probably It Will. So After reinstalling IE Follow these steps;

RE: Google problem by foaly on 05-18-2008 at 11:42 AM

What on earth would his ISP have to do with it?
If you can make it to the google main site the DNS and Routing services work...
After that it is googles fault...
