Hey all,

Sorry to bother you im fairly new at this am making slow but steady progress on an ALIENWARE skin. If possible can sumone post the XML and or any further instructions on how to change the shape of the Messenger eg: IronMan by "Willz" and also how to change the Spining GIF animation on the logon from the "Buddies" to another GIF.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

The buddies aren't a .gif but a series of frames in a PNG format.

Try getting a hold of Willz Open Live it's a great template/base for skinners old and new alike and has lots of guides and simplified things to help, I use it (well my own personalised build) at the moment as well as many other skilled skinners.

Willz Iron Man is a shaped skin. A word of advice I'll give you now on shaped skins. They'll only work nicely (at this current time, future builds may fix this) if you have some straight edges on each side of your windows.

Otherwise you may find it gets a real pain, as I discovered with beaver and steve 1.0.0 (soon to be released)

Try consulting the Skinning Documentation if you haven't already, it can be downloaded from within the messenger plus application, next to extract resources, on the skinning section of the preferences
