Looking for some assistance. I'm trying to get a program on my server machine to run as a service so it doesn't stop running after logging out. I've found this and this, but it doesn't seem to want to work. RE: Allowing a program to run as a service by Jesus on 07-13-2008 at 07:44 PM
Hmm, I used those files too (instsrv and srvany) to accomplish the same thing and it worked without problems... RE: Allowing a program to run as a service by MeEtc on 07-13-2008 at 09:20 PM Nope, no errors or anything. I even see srvany.exe in the process list (but not the program I want to run [psybnc.exe]). I run the process manually, and I connect to the bouncer just fine. When using the service, IRC just shows an error of connection refused as if the bouncer isn't running. |
