Well, I've been having this problem for a while now. I have a Dell GX110 PC that I've been preparing for a friend (I had previously given him an old Pentium 133MHz with Win98 on it ), but if I shut it down and try to turn it on again (doesn't matter how long or short, it still does this) its yellow power light blinks at me. The only solution I've found is to unplug it/switch it off/remove the CMOS battery and just leave it there for a bit. RE: DELL GX110 PSU gone? by Jarrod on 08-03-2008 at 02:15 AM
xp over heating it? RE: DELL GX110 PSU gone? by ryxdp on 08-03-2008 at 02:21 AM
XP is running just fine on it, no overheating at all. RE: DELL GX110 PSU gone? by Voldemort on 08-03-2008 at 02:29 AM k, use nlite and make XP smaller: there's a lot of crap that computer does not need. I would believe that WMP10/9 is lighter than WMP11. (I have an old compaq, with 266mhz and 288mb ram running an nlited version of XP fine, also with an original hdd of 6gb, but an nlited version of xp uses waaaaay less space than the original one). RE: DELL GX110 PSU gone? by MeEtc on 08-03-2008 at 03:04 AM Better than using nlite, try finding a copy of Windows Fundamentals and install that instead RE: DELL GX110 PSU gone? by ryxdp on 08-03-2008 at 03:35 AM
Hmm, I forgot to mention it sometimes gives me a BSOD: |
