When I updated to 8.1 a few months back the program stop responding message kept coming up and crashing live messenger when I started a conversation with someone, it can take a few minutes or even a few seconds but it will definitely crash every time. I've uninstalled reinstalled and tried the 9 beta and tried going back to 7.1, 8.5(latest) but it still does it. I have no addons or skins etc installed for it, Can anyone help?

perhaps you can check your IE settings or allow UPnP.. it happened to me before

What settings of IE do I need to check though? upnp is allowed.
