Ive installed Windows Live Messenger and Live Plus but it Dosnt work.
Ive tried reinstalling both restarting but no matter what, it wont show colours, just the codes, in my own name and others names, and the "/" commands dont work either, the list dosnt even appear. Im running XP and definitly have plus installed as the Plus! icon is in the corner.
Anybody know whats wrong?
Also i dont have SmilyCentral installed and have lastest directx

Which Plus! icon in the corner? Take a screenshot or explain where it is please? It sounds like you downloaded Messenger Plus not Messenger Plus Live (which is the newest major version and the only one that will work with WLM 8.0 onwards)

I don't see any missing icon at all, although you are right about the colours not showing up properly. Do / commands just get sent as plain text to your contacts or do you get an error message?

i think you misunderstood my post, there are no icons missing
They just show as plain text
