Huge C:\WINDOWS folder by Reload2 on 09-14-2008 at 09:28 PM
Hi guys
I'm having a problem since one month with my C:\ drive
Usually, I rarely install stuffs on that drive so I always have about 20GB of free space.
But since one month, I noticed that the space is decreasing like, every day.
Last week I had like 9GB of free space and this week I found out that I had only 4.6 GB free space
And I still never install stuffs on that drive so that's kinda curios so, by looking where was my problem, I found out that my WINDOWS folder, which normally is about 5GB, has increased to 22GB
So I was woundering what happened to my WINDOWS folder, if there was a way to cleaning it without deleting important datas, like a program that does that folder cleanup or something? (I used Disk cleanup and it cleaned only like 100 MB)
I'm using Windows XP SP2
Thanks a lot

Use something like SequoiaView and see what's taking all the space

My Vista's is 12,3 GB. And my XP's, 1,8 GB.
On Vista, the subfolder "winsxs" uses 6,9 GB, which is more than 50%. Damn
