ffmpeg can re-encode audio to various different formats but I haven't been able to find a way to enable vbr (it uses libmp3lame, so it should be possible but I haven't found a way). RE: what command line audio encoder do you recommend? by Ezra on 10-12-2008 at 10:46 PM

RE: what command line audio encoder do you recommend? by segosa on 10-12-2008 at 11:55 PM I thought of that but I wanted aac and others too. it does encode nicely to vbr (with a histogram showing what bitrate each frame is) so I guess that'll do. who uses anything other than mp3 these days anyway?
