I did several searches trying to find this, but nothing came up. Maybe I'm dense?

Anyhoo... I have a few Yahoo contacts on m list, but I can't seem to add them to the desktop (the menu option is grayed out). With one of them, I do get the option, but she never shows up as being online on the desktop when she's clearly online in the contact list. Any suggestions as to how I can make this work?
