Can sum1 plz help me owt here!!

(this may have nothing 2 do with the messenger plus! extension)

OK.
I sign into messenger one day, like I usually do. And all my contacts hav gone!


instead of a contact list i get
"We could not find any contacts that matched your filter".

But, when one of my contacts was Online, they showed up.
I'm using the normal full release of messenger [NOT BETA].
With messenger plus! Live 4.70/90 {cant rememba wich one is installed}

Plz, answer my plead sum1..

Is there a way to hide your offline contacts?

If so, how do I un-hide them?

You probably don't have to go through all that hassle deleting those files..

Looks like you've accidentally typed something into wlm's word wheel.
Just open your contact list, find this area and delete what may be typed in it:

Try logging into Web Messenger and see if your contacts show up there

yeah it's just my pc

Try following these steps:

To try and fix that you can clear out the contact cache as follows:
- Exit WLMessenger
- Delete the two folders corresponding with your address in the following folders:
Windows XP:
%userprofile%\contacts
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts
Windows Vista:
%userprofile%\contacts
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts

These folders may be hidden so make sure you turn on hidden folders first.

To navigate to these folders Press + R on your keyboard, then copy in the links above

I'm running Windows XP, I did that.

Extra Note:: When I sign in with my other Hotmail Address, this does not occur.

After deleting your contacts cache, how long did you wait after signing in before deciding that it hadn't worked?

It can sometimes take a few minutes to re-download your contacts from the server

Yes, but how long did you stay signed in for?

Did you leave it 10-15 minutes to give it a chance to re-download your contacts from the server?

Also, are you 100% sure that you accessed the correct folders and deleted the folders with the same name as your e-mail address?

Yes, I'm 100% sure I did everything you said; But, I have been signed in all afternoon TBH, well since I did what you said earlier.
Not just 10-15 minutes.
