If the fairies do not want to tell us about it, then maybe a knight (Patchou) could find the way and the story will have a happy end.
My personal opinion is that we should not tell anyone if we found the way because then Microsoft will take it away at the final release.

I highly recommend that skinners do not publicly release updates to their skins until the final build is released. We're still in beta phase, and there's quite a few problems with Messenger (Let alone the numerous bugs found in the entire suite), and we're most likely going to see another update (or two) before the release in January/February .

Apparently there are current two fairies* people involved, and we're working on getting the specifications for the UIB format completely documented. We've both got something that can convert most UIB files to XML, and currently we're working out the kinks on those and making sure we get everything right. After that the plan is to work on tools to edit or patch the UIB files easily, as doing it manually like we did for this one is quite a pain
We do intend to release the documentation to the public at some point, not sure when though...

Actually if you knew as much as the fairies and wouldn't run your mouth when you don't know crap about whats going then you would know that Ahmed uses the fairie trick because we are all in this together and we communicate the important stuff

I hope all this means that an updated version of plus its on its way. It seems to me that most the broken elements are parts that should be integrated into the gui and if thats the problem then this should be a simple fix for patcheu.

Well for those interested I have thrown a plsk of the alert mod I made. Just note that it does require Messenger Plus 4.79 which IS NOT 100% COMPATIBLE WITH MESSENGER 9 RC. That was mainly aimed at the randoms who visit this site and not you regulars
Anyway extract the zip and run the plsk. Its a public download so yeah no need to login.
I would have made a dll patch but there isn't much point if its just going to modify one thing and yeah I don't want to double up on apatch.

There is not trick to how its done. All the skin does is replace one image the usual way. There is nothing special since Messenger Plus can't do anything yet. So when Patch finally comes out of his cave we can maybe see stuff.
