A friend of mine recently bought an iPod touch and while trying to input music and videos we couldn't have the iTunes recognize the iPod. Apparently it is a problem with the iTunes version. I have iTunes 8.0.2 and when I connected the iPod to another computer with iTunes 8.0.0 the iPod was recognized and able to be used. RE: iTunes/iPod Problem by Chris4 on 12-23-2008 at 03:40 AM
Here's iTunes 8.0.0.35 you could try. RE: RE: iTunes/iPod Problem by matt on 12-24-2008 at 04:44 AM

quote: Do you have Apple Mobile Device Support installed? The iPod Touch needs this to be recogniesd by iTunes. Try uninstalling iTunes completely, restarting your computer, then installing the latest version RE: iTunes/iPod Problem by ipab on 12-24-2008 at 07:22 AM
quote: Just about to post that... the other thing you could do is just put the touch in DFU mode and see if gets recognized by iTunes, if it does not, you know for sure that somehow the Apple Mobile Device Support got uninstalled. RE: RE: iTunes/iPod Problem by matt on 12-25-2008 at 03:58 PM

IIRC It's a windows service, just check to see if it is installed in Add/Remove Programs. If it is, then try to manually get it to run by going typing 'services.msc' into the 'run' dialog. RE: iTunes/iPod Problem by matt on 12-26-2008 at 06:27 PM
mmmm.... i don't have IIRC installed in Add/Remove Programs RE: RE: iTunes/iPod Problem by Vilkku on 12-26-2008 at 06:41 PM

Does anything actually appear on the iPod's screen when you plug it in? quote:I always think of it as remember, no difference really though. |
