Don't know if it's me or my system but I can't seem to get the show contacts as idle instead of away when appropriate , it's a clean install no patches etc. RE: Idle Status in 4.79b by djdannyp on 01-11-2009 at 10:53 PM
I can't confirm this. RE: Idle Status in 4.79b by ratsalad on 01-11-2009 at 11:11 PM
I was actually just testing that very thing, my daughter is online i asked her to allow it to go idle and it just went 'away' and not idle, also if i hover over the contacts that are showing away it says idle in the pop-up info (for the want of it's correct terminology) RE: Idle Status in 4.79b by djdannyp on 01-11-2009 at 11:20 PM
So the pop-ups were displaying 'idle', but the text next to the display name in a conversation windows was just saying 'away'? RE: Idle Status in 4.79b by ratsalad on 01-11-2009 at 11:24 PM
hmm very odd, if no one else is getting it it must be my end, although i have no idea where. RE: Idle Status in 4.79b by Patchou on 01-11-2009 at 11:41 PM In Messenger 2009, MEssenger Plus! cannot display "Idle" in the contact lias as before, that's why it adds "(Idle)" in the tooltip that is displayed when you hover on a contact. In chat windows though, the Idle tag works as before. RE: Idle Status in 4.79b by ratsalad on 01-11-2009 at 11:54 PM Ah Ha, had me confused that one did, thanks for the info Patch, will you be able to make it work in the future? quote:In fact, Messenger Plus! still does the same thing, changes only the tooltip's text to (Idle). There wasn't a label thing for statuses on previous versions of WLM anyway, iirc. Still we would like to see Plus! handles the new labels as well |
